Wedding Season is Back On!

ONTARIO IS OPENING!

Oh boy, I cannot tell you how excited I am for restrictions to be lifted. I went on a longish motorcycle trip with my girlfriend, went to the gym every day last week— and, the best part –wedding season is back on!  My favourite kind of weddings to shoot are the small, intimate ones. So, while I cannot alter pandemic regulations and give people their dreamed-of destination weddings, I am ready to shoot the photos of their dreams.

Take Nikki and Alex.  This bride and groom were supposed to get married in Athens back in 2020.  That didn’t happen. After a quick chat with Alex and Nikki I knew I had enough means at my disposal to take images they would cherish. We even found a place in Scarborough to take a couple of scenic beach shots as a tribute to their original Mediterranean plan.

There is a famous saying: “The plan never survives the battle.”  Having photographed more weddings than I can count, I can tell you this is true whether we live in pandemic times or not. The most important thing for me, as the photographer, is to take the couple away from the chaos and give them a moment to breathe, look into each other’s eyes and laugh, as the husband-to-be whispers his favourite breakfast cereal into his lover’s ear. Create moments of calm and capture those moments that will give them the stunning photos they will display in their homes for years to come.

With the uncertainty of the past year, I still have a few availabilities over the next couple of months for small weddings. I know everyone is planning for 2022— the next year is going to be the busiest wedding season in a long time— so don’t be shy!  Shoot me an email. Or give me a call and we can arrange to take the pictures you’ll be happy to have on your wall for all the anniversaries to come.
